Events2

Events are a special mechanic in Super Bomb Survival which change up the game, usually by spawning unique bombs or objects.

An event will begin once a player collects an Event Icon, which randomly appears during gameplay. Some events are beneficial, while others are dangerous. Some events require being within a minimum or maximum Intensity in order to appear.

List of Events[]

Pillars of lava are rising[]

Minimum Intensity: 3.1

Several pillars of lava (number depending on Intensity) will rise from the bottom of the map. Before they rise, their position is denoted by large columns of orange light. The pillars act like regular lava, meaning they deal 30 damage every 0.3 seconds. However, if players have Fireproof on, they'll take 15 damage every 1.2 seconds.

After some time, the pillars will fall back into the lava, one by one.

This event plays a special music track, "Aliens?".

When surviving this event, the Fireproof perk proves effective. Avoid the columns of light before the lava rises. Try not to get flung around, which may lead to you getting flung into a lava pillar.

The lava is freezing...[]

Maximum Intensity: 4.7

The lava at the bottom of the map cools down, making it safe to walk on until the end of the round.

This entirely removes the threat of lava, which is otherwise very dangerous. This event is mostly beneficial, though killing other players by knocking them into lava is no longer an option. This is also the only event that has a Maximum Intensity cap, likely to not make higher intensities like 5.0 and 6.0 too easy.

This event does not have any special music.

It's getting foggy...[]

The map becomes shrouded in fog, making it more difficult to see.

Fog Bombs spawn during this event.

This event plays a special music track, "Fog!".

Bomb Vision can be very helpful with spotting bombs that are hard to see in the fog.

It's getting dark...[]

The map becomes very dark. Players and certain bombs will emit light to make it easier to see.

If the player has the game time set to night, the map will be shrouded in darkness, making it even harder to see.

Light Bombs spawn during this event.

This event plays a special music track, "Dark Fog".

Bomb Vision is also effective here.

A layer of earth is vanishing...[]

Two layers of terrain will turn gray and disappear within 5-40 seconds. Terrain turns a darker shade of gray right before disappearing.

This event does not have any special music.

A snow storm is coming![]

Snow begins falling from the sky, and Snowballs will periodically fall from the sky until the end of the round, freezing the terrain and players nearby.

This event plays two special music tracks, "Snowstorm!" below 4.0 Intensity and "Snowstorm! (Intense)" at and above 4.0 Intensity.

Look out for Snowballs and get away, as they have a deceptively large area of effect. Anti-Freeze negates their freeze.

A thunder storm is coming![]

Lightning Bolt

A lightning strike during the "A thunder storm is coming!" event.

Rain begins falling from the sky, and Thunderbolts will periodically spawn until the end of the round, electrifying the terrain. Lightning will also strike until the end of the round.

This event plays two special music tracks, "Thunder!" below 4.0 Intensity and "Thunder! (Intense)" at and above 4.0 Intensity.

Stay away from the yellow indicator spheres, and watch out for falling Thunderbolts. Shock Absorb thrives here.

UFO!![]

A large alien spaceship (also known as a UFO) appears above the map. UFOs will hover around, dropping bombs from a list at random for about 40 seconds. They can be stood on by players. Depending on the Intensity, multiple UFOs can spawn. They can be blue, purple, or green. UFO spawned bombs will have particles depending on which U spawned them.

Ufo spawned bomb

A Red Soccer Bomb spawned by a blue UFO.

UFOs can spawn many types of bombs, including:

On higher Intensities, UFOs have a chance to spawn in pairs. This is guaranteed at 5.0 Intensity.

This event plays two special music tracks, "Aliens!" below 4.0 Intensity and "Aliens! (Intense)" at and above 4.0 Intensity.

The UFOs can serve as good platforms to stay on and avoid bombs below.

It's raining giant pizza![]

Giant Pizza rains from the sky for the duration of this event. The segments of pizza can be eaten to restore HP.

This event plays a special music track, "Very Good!".

This event is helpful for earning the "Pizza My Heart" badge.

Explosive ducks are invading![]

Minimum Intensity: 4.0

Various sizes of Ducks will fall from the sky attached to balloons. They will remain dormant until a player touches one, at which point it'll start flashing red, and then explode. At the end of the event, a Big Duck will spawn.

Ducks spawned from this event can be smacked to earn the Duck Slap badge.

This event plays a special music track, "Not Good!".

Try not to touch the Ducks, or ensure you are able to get away in time when touching them. Expert's Touch can help here.

It's raining coins![]

Minimum Intensity: 1.0

Many coins of all varieties will rain from the sky, many of which are attached to balloons. Midas Bombs can also spawn during this event.

At the end of this event, there is a 3% (or 25% at and above 4.0 Intensity) chance for a GOLDEN BIG BOMB to spawn.

This event plays a special music track, "Coin Rain!".

Big Saver is very effective during this event.

Meteors![]

At the end of the event, a huge version of the Meteor will spawn and burn a large area of terrain.

This event plays two special music tracks, "Meteors!" below 4.0 Intensity and "Meteors! (Intense)" at and above 4.0 Intensity.

Make sure you always keep an eye out for any Meteors.

It's raining missiles!![]

Minimum Intensity: 3.0

The sky turns red, and many missiles begin to fall. These missiles include Airstrikes, Homing Rockets, Nukes and some of their variants.

On 4.0 Intensity and above, this event becomes a lot more dangerous, with High Intensity versions of missiles more likely to appear. There is also a higher chance for Nukes and Mega Nukes to appear.

At the end of the event, a Mega Nuke is guaranteed to spawn.

This event plays two special music tracks, "Raining Missiles" below 4.0 Intensity and "Raining Missiles! (Intense)" at and above 4.0 Intensity.

Like with Meteors, look out for missiles.

It's raining pianos![]

Pianos fall from the sky during this event. Getting crushed by one deals 25 damage.

At the end of the event, three large white Pianos will fall in random positions, dealing 50 damage to any unfortunate players they land on.

This event plays a special music track, "Piano Rain!".

The best place to go is under shelter. You should stay there until the event music finishes and you hear the three large Pianos fall.

It's raining Charge Soda![]

For the duration of this event, Charge Sodas rain from the sky, allowing players to recharge their skills instantly when collected.

Supercharge Sodas also have a chance to spawn, and are guaranteed to spawn at the end of the event.

This event plays a special music track, "Falling Fizz!".

The gravity is getting low...[]

Gravity is reduced for the rest of the round, allowing players to jump much higher. This effect is also present in the Lobby.

This event can enable you to make larger jumps, be more safe when falling, and make Wings even more effective.

Zombies!![]

Minimum Intensity: 2.0

Numerous Coffins will spawn, exploding and releasing Zombies.

There are numerous types of Zombies, including Bombies, Dashers, Sluggers, and Plagues, each with their own respective Coffins and abilities. Zombies can be defeated by using Healing Pulse, which also awards the Zombie Slayer badge.

Zombies will follow nearby players, attempting to swipe at them. They will continue to spawn until the end of the round, dropping event coins and other collectibles after dying.

This event plays a special music track, "Spooky Zomb Survival".

Lure the Zombies down to a place they cannot escape. Higher ground or the air is the best place to be during this event.

Bubbles![]

Tons of bubbles will begin to appear around the map near the ground during this event.

Bubble Bombs will also occasionally spawn.

This event plays a special music track, "Bubbles!".

Generally, try to avoid the Bubbles unless you have Unshakeable or a skill that lets you escape like Pickaxe.

Only one bomb type is spawning![]

NavalMines

Many Naval Mines spawned from the "Only one bomb type is spawning!" Event.

All bombs will be replaced by a certain bomb; that will be the only bomb that spawns for 40 seconds. The bomb can be almost any bomb, including Nukes.

If two of these events happen at the same time due to a Double Event, then only 2 certain bombs will spawn for 40 seconds.

This event plays two special music tracks, "Multiplying!" below 4.0 Intensity and "Multiplying!! (Intense)" at and above 4.0 Intensity.

Limited Events[]

There are also events that appear based on the seasons for a limited time.

Retired Events[]

Instead of collecting Event Icons to summon events, after a while, they occasionally automatically occurred. Only one event would occur. There were also events that no longer occur in the current version. Some of the events were changed during the Thanksgiving time period, like the Ducks being replaced by turkeys.

Event Description

Rising Lava Lava will slowly rise by three layers, making it more dangerous for death when falling or tripping into it. After an amount of time, it will fall back to its normal state.

Coin Cloud A golden cloud spawns in the middle of the map, moving about and raining some coins down for a short time.
Disabled Skill All of the players' skills are temporarily disabled. This might be promising to those who don't want to be disturbed by other players, but also dangerous to those who are in trouble with bombs, low HP, etc.
Level EX All of the players' skills are temporarily leveled up to Level EX. A premium Level that is way stronger than Level 3, such as Super Jump gaining an extra height and an explosion at the start when using it.
Double Coins All credits collected from coins will be doubled. The event lasts until the end of the round.

Trivia[]

  • The "The gravity is getting low..." event is the only event that can affect players in the Lobby. This enables players to reach high places in the Lobby, and cheat the target to get the Target Practice badge without using a cannon.
  • There is a glitch that sometimes happens where if the previous event created fog, the Lobby would have that effect as well. This normally happens when an Event Icon is picked up at the end of a round, although this might not be the reason why it happens.
  • Bubbles spawned by the "Bubbles!" event use raycasting to position themselves. The only other objects to do this are Grimbells and Fog Bombs.
  • Events were removed in v2.0.0, but returned in v3.0.0.
  • The "Only one type of bomb is spawning!" event can summon all kinds of bombs, from Mega Nukes to Glitch Bombs. Some bombs are not confirmed to spawn, like Grimbells, Ultimate Destroyers, or Huge Meteors.
